New Winter Beginning

~One Shot~

After her short trip from Sunagakure for her first Chunnin exam with Naruto, came to a conclusion. Himawari lost in the finals but Naruto tried to reassure her to keep working hard and he was very proud as the Seventh Hokage to see his own daughter speaking about her own nindo at the stadium. Even more, she was embarrassed to go home but Naruto told her about how he never became a Chunnin or a Jounin as a matter of fact. It was cloudy and chilly, which added to the gloom of Himawari's mood. Naruto reached the Konoha Gate with his daughter's teary orbs

"Tou chan is always here for you, don't feel bad about failing..."

"B-but I'm not good enough and I embarrassed you as you're the Hokage..."

"Hey don't say that, it was a long battle- ttebayo. At least you have Rasengan just in time right? All the more, your Byakugan and other strategies need refining that's all."

"You're disappointed in me though... people expect me to have passed since you are the hero of the village and all..."

"WHA-? I never said I was disappointed in you! I am really proud of you for enduring the battle. Those kids are just strong but you will get stronger."

"Really...?"

"Absolutely-ttebayo! I'll take you to a special place."

Himawari was piggybacked on her father's solid feature. He was warm and even if she felt frail, she could rely of her Naruto to support her weight. The snow brushed against Himawari's face, many pearly white pine trees and some leafless evergreens surrounded the area Hinata had once described Naruto standing up to bullies.

"I have failed in this very place, being beaten up by three people with my clone I still have not mastered. Then I had to find out how to use it from the Forbidden Scroll the proper way of mastering Shadow Clone."

"That is why you have Shadow Clone? Then mummy had to keep knitting your scarf ever since."

Naruto nodded "Hima chan, this was where I rescued mummy when we were very little- ttebayo! Lets find mummy and Boruto now."

"Boruto is going to tease me..."

"No he won't and I'll make sure he doesn't or else I'll teach him a lesson, you know what he said to me just before we left? That you have mummy's strength and fighting spirit like mine. You are the only person he doesn't mind losing to."

"And I will always protect Boruto, you and Ka chan."

"So will I-ttebayo!"
